Friends -

It’s been just under a month since I entered this race for State Representative, and I want to thank you for your continued support. Those of you who know me, know that I did not enter this race lightly. I did not plan on running for office, but I am stepping up because I have seen first-hand how some greedy politicians are more concerned with special interests than the families they claim to serve.

I firmly believe we are lacking true conservative leadership for our community. We need someone who is fighting for us, not someone who is bought by special interests. My promise to you is I will always:

  • Defend our kids and put families first

  • Find workable solutions to our problems

  • Grow our local economy

  • Protect the American way of life

Thank you for joining this fight.

Perrysburg resident Sally Culling to challenge Rep. Ghanbari for Ohio's 75th District

Sally Culling of Perrysburg announced Friday that she is running to represent the 75th District in the Ohio House.

While this is her first run for elected office in the United States, she won a seat in her birth country of England on the equivalent of Nottingham City Council when she was 22 years old.

Following her time as an elected official, she worked as a staffer for the European Parliament and an analyst for the Heritage Foundation's Margaret Thatcher Center for Freedom.

A conservative Republican, she moved to Wood County in 2015, when she also became a U.S. citizen.

Parental rights and school choice are high priorities for her, along with economic development, Mrs. Culling said.

‘Wood County families deserve a conservative fighter in the House, and that is why I am running,’ said Mrs. Culling, 46, who is married with two children.”…

“She said she wants to ensure Ohio continues to be a place that will attract companies and families.

“I don’t believe currently the conservative voice is strong enough, and so I want to put myself forward as the conservative voice for the Ohio 75th District in the House,” she said.

Mrs. Culling said the fight over school choice prompted her to run for office now.

“When I saw that school choice came within a hair’s breadth of failing purely because of some shenanigans in the House, I decided it was my time to go and make my case that school choice is a good thing,” she said.

“There is not, and there should not be, a once-size-fits-all approach to education,” Mrs. Culling said.
